Janel Grant dismisses claims against John Laurinaitis in exchange of evidence

Janel Grant has dismissed all claims against John Laurinaitis in exchange of the former WWE executive providing evidence against Vince McMahon and WWE in her ongoing lawsuit.

A filing submitted today in the United States District Court of Connecticut states, “Plaintiff Janel Grant hereby stipulates with Defendant John Laurinaitis that the above-entitled action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice, against Defendant John Laurinaitis. For the sake of clarity, Plaintiff is not dismissing any claims against any defendant other than Mr. Laurinaitis. Each party shall bear its own costs.”

With prejudice means that Grant cannot file the same claims against Laurinaitis in the future.

A statement from her legal team to PostWrestling.com said that Laurinaitis’ agreement to a confidential settlement is a pivotal next step toward holding Vince McMahon and WWE accountable and bringing justice to their client.

“Mr. Laurinaitis looks forward to moving on with his life. We cannot provide any additional details at this time,” the statement continued.

A judge will soon rule if the case will continue in court or it goes into private arbitration. McMahon and WWE attorneys have until mid-June to file their case to support this while Grant’s legal team will have 10 days to respond after that.
