Dwayne Johnson to serve as Master of Ceremonies for Shark Week

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be serving as the first-ever Master of Ceremonies for this year’s Shark Week on Discovery Channel.

“Our Seven Bucks Productions has partnered with Discovery to bring you a very special (and badass) Shark Week,” Johnson wrote in a post on social media. “I filmed exclusively in my home state of Hawaii, these beautiful predators, Aumakua (Gods), are deeply revered and respected in our Polynesian culture.”

The 34th installment of Shark Week will begin on July 24.

To coincide with Shark Week, AEW was also asked to try and tie in something for next week’s Dynamite since it airs on a Warner Bros. Discovery network property. So for the barbed wire death match between Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho, the rest of the JAS members will all be locked inside a shark cage.
