Dave Bautista claims he was not invited for the Smackdown 1000 episode

Dave Bautista wrote on Twitter that he has not been invited to the Smackdown 1000 episode even though it’s in his hometown of Washington, D.C. The former champ was responding to a tweet from a fan who said he hopes Bautista would be part of the show.

“Surprise surprise!! I wasn’t invited! And it’s in my hometown,” he wrote. “Guess by now I shouldn’t be shocked anymore.”

Bautista has been pretty vocal about wanting to return to the WWE under the right circumstances. A few years ago he offered to return for a program with Triple H but they were not interested and then this year he said he was approached by the company to be Ronda Rousey’s tag team partner at WrestleMania until Kurt Angle took that spot without any notification.

He recently stated that his return to WWE is inevitable as he wants to have one more go before he retires.
