Dakota Kai and Cora Jade, two of the 17 now-former WWE Superstars who were released this weekend, issued statements on social media.
Dakota Kai said she feels like she’s the luckiest girl in the world after reading all the messages of support from friends, family, coaches, colleagues, coaches, and fans.
“That’s the stuff that matters. I got to make memories, create the best friendships and travel the world. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities,” Kai wrote.
She added that she’s going to take a little time away but she’s far from done as she’s been ready to go.
Kai was the first one brought back by Triple H when he took over WWE in July 2022.
Jade wrote that she dropped out of high school at the age of 15 to chase her dreams and it was scary, but she’s thankful that it worked out for her.
“I got to live out so many childhood dreams, go so many places, do so many things and most importantly I met some of the most important people in my life that I know I’ll have in my corner forever,” she wrote.
She said that while this journey didn’t go as she thought it would and she’s disappointed by a lot of things, she can look back with no regrets knowing she did everything with love and passion and always stood up for herself.
“I’m proud of myself for that. With all that being said, TRUST that this is not the end and only my new beginning. I have a lot to say when the time is right,” she continued. “I have so many ideas and am excited for the future and to be able to show what I truly am capable of. Elayna Black is back from the dead bitches! See you in 30.”
Her post on Instagram garnered support from many of her peers, including none other than CM Punk.
