Continued success for Dwayne Johnson with San Andreas movie

San Andreas, the disaster movie featuring Dwayne Johnson, currently sits as the 11th top grossing movie domestically in the United States of 2015, just $1.5 million behind 10th place Mad Max: Fury Road.

The movie has so far done $145.4 million domestically in box office receipts and another $299 million worldwide, for a total of $444.6 gross according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. This is by far The Rock’s most popular and successful movie when it comes to leading a movie on his own.

In the bigger picture, San Andreas is in 299th place in the all time domestic movies and in 175th place in all time worldwide in terms of gross revenue.

San Andreas became the highest-grossing movie for Warner Bros. of all time in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru while in China it registered the fourth highest.

The movie had a production budget of $110 million and it is expected to bring in mullions and millions of more dollars once the DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital downloads are made available.
