The best wrestlers currently not in WWE

The WWE has had a huge amount of popularity over the years. Of course, the foundation of this success comes from the organization’s biggest stars. The likes of John Cena, The Rock, and Brock Lesnar all became household names over the years. From here, the WWE attracted and retained fans through great shows and superb talent.

Wrestling is one of the most popular sports in the world. With its biggest fanbase being American, it is no surprise to see that many of the best athletes in the sport originate from there. However, not every great wrestler ends up in the WWE. Some will fight in other wrestling organizations, while others use their skills for the likes of MMA. With that considered, who are the best wrestlers currently not in WWE? Considering these are active athletes, the likes of John Cena have been omitted.

CM Punk

CM Punk is probably one of the best-known wrestlers to ever grace the sport. In his prime, he was one of the most prolific and entertaining people in the WWE. However, he now competes in All Elite Wrestling. CM Punk was one of the most talented wrestlers of his generation. This is a major contributing factor in his life’s success. However, his stardom and success spread much further than just the wrestling mat. He also ventured into the likes of acting. He made his on-screen debut in the 2019 horror Girl on the Third Floor, and has also appeared in the likes of Heels. Punk also tried his hand at mixed martial arts for a short period of time. However, a two-fight UFC career did not live up to expectations as he was defeated both times. Despite this, he will go down as one of the most talented to ever do it. Although you cannot bet on him inside the cage anymore, you can fulfill your gambling needs through the likes of casino Australia.

Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega is a Canadian-born wrestler. Making his debut over 20 years ago, he is still one of the best to witness in the world of wrestling. He competes in the wrestling organization All Elite Wrestling, similarly to CM Punk. However, he is also a vice president of the company. However, his performances are not confined to this organization as he has also appeared in the wrestling company Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Despite being 38, he is still one of the best wrestlers competing outside of WWE.

Will Ospreay

When it comes to wrestling, the country of England isn’t that widely represented. However, one of their biggest stars is, without a doubt, Will Ospreay. At the age of just 28, he has already had an extremely impressive career and looks to be in for a promising future. Ospreay currently competes in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he once was an IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. He also competes in the organization’s sister company, Revolution Pro Wrestling. Here, he is the current British Heavyweight Champion.
