John Cena, The Rock, Brock Lesnar & Randy Orton: all world champions before 30!

In order to reach the top of the wrestling pinnacle, athletes will not only need to be as entertaining on the mic as they are when performing in the ring, but to be truly considered great, they will need to have been able to claim the biggest prize that can be achieved.

Of course, for many of the professional wrestling promotions that have been set up and formed, that will mean being crowned the World Champion, as this will symbolise how important that have become and how big of a superstar – to coin World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) phrase – they are to the promotion.

Many that get involved with wrestling will all aspire in trying to achieve that accolade, however there are only a few that will ever make it throughout their careers, whilst there are some that will do it before they even reach the age of 30! Here are just some of the most famous grapplers to have been able to earn that achievement:

John Cena

When someone thinks of wrestling, one name that will immediately spring to mind for those that were fans or those who were growing up with the sport in the 2000s and 2010s is John Cena.

Of course, there are a number of rumours regarding a potential return to the ring in the near future for the ‘Leader of the Cenation’ which has meant a flurry of people have looked for the best sports odds available when predicting when he may make his return to the squared circle, but there is no doubt that his potential return would be highly anticipated as he was once the “face of the WWE”.

His AA and five-knuckle shuffle signature moves had fans in raptures and he elevated himself throughout the WWE over the years, with ‘The Champ’ able to claim his first World Championship title at WrestleMania 21 when he beat John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) at the young age of 27.

The Rock

Arguably, if someone does not think of Cena first, they will think of The Rock as he is the biggest star to have ever come out of professional wrestling (Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin – and maybe Triple H – might have an argument, though).

The Rock – who is known as Dwayne Johnson – has been one of the biggest stars to have ever wrestled and was named a World Champion at 26 years old when he joined The Corporation after shocking everyone to claim the title.

Brock Lesnar

Another big dude with a lot of muscle and power, Brock Lesnar has proven wrestling credentials as an amateur, let alone as a professional, so it was no surprise that during his early WWE stints that he would be crowned a World Champion pretty quickly.

Known as the ‘Beast Incarnate’ and typically flanked by Paul Heyman, Lesnar won his first title shortly after his 25th birthday, after defeating The Rock at SummerSlam in 2002 as he solidified his status as a monster and one that has continued throughout his various stints.

Randy Orton

If there were ever a wrestler to burst on the scene in the WWE at a young age, Randy Orton would have to be considered to be near the top of any list.

‘The Viper’ – or ‘Legend Killer’ or ‘Apex Predator’ and other names he has gone through – managed to obtain his first World title at just 24 years old, as he won it at SummerSlam in 2004 and has since gone on to be one of the biggest faces to have ever been involved with the WWE for almost 20 years.
