Two matches announced for Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view

Two matches were announced for the AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view last night on Dynamite.

British star Zack Sabre Jr. issued a challenge to former AEW World champion Kenny Omega on the show, saying the two never wrestled each other in the United States. You have to go back to 2018 for the last one-on-one match between the two stars, and on that night, Omega won the G1 tournament match.

A 12-man steel cage match was also announced, with MJF leading a team against another one led by Mark Briscoe. The stipulation is that if Briscoe’s team wins, he will then earn himself a shot at the AEW World title.

The other participants in the match haven’t been revealed, although Kevin Knight accepted MJF’s invitation on the basis that if they win, he also gets a title shot.

Forbidden Door takes place on Sunday, June 28 live from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
