Jay White returns to AEW after 14 months out

Jay White returned to AEW last night at Forbidden Door following an absence of 14 months.

The former IWGP champion made his presence felt during the Cope and Cage vs The Dogs match for the AEW Tag Team titles, where he attacked David Finlay with the Blade Runner, allowing Copeland to then hit a spear for the victory.

White handed the AEW Tag Team titles to the two Canadians although it seems like it’s not all rosy between the parties.

The Kiwi star last wrestled in late March 2025, defeating Kevin Knight in an episode of Collision. He suffered a broken hand and had to undergo surgery to repair it, keeping him out of action for over a year.
