Matt Hardy got busted open the hard way yesterday after Sammy Guevara threw a chair at him, hitting him in the face during their brawl at ringside.

Matt tried to protect his face and somewhat managed to break the speed a bit but the damage was already done. Guevara threw the chair from a short distance, resulting in Hardy suffering a gash just below his hairline.

“You cocky, weird, reckless little piece of sh!t,” Hardy tweeted afterwards. “YOU’RE DEAD!” Matt’s wife Reby also chimed in, calling Guevara a “f*cking dumbass.”

By the time the whole angle played out, Hardy was left with a crimson mask, not to mention going through a table as well.

Hardy was patched up backstage by AEW ringside doctor Dr. Sampson and required a few stitches to close the wound.
