Jon Moxley wins the AEW World title at Revolution

The Moxley Era has arrived. Le Champion has lost his AEW World title after 182 days as Jon Moxley defeated Chris Jericho during Revolution to win his first title with the promotion.

Before the match ended, Mox took off his eye patch to reveal that he could see and then hit the Paradigm Shift for the clean pin as the Chicago crowd came unglued to congratulate the new champ.

Following the match and celebrations, Mox cut a promo in the middle of the ring as fans chanted for him. “I love this shit!” Mox said. “It has been one hell of a year for yours truly. One hell of a long road.”

He then put over the fans for sticking with him through thick and thin. “You are the energy that fuels AEW. A year ago we had this conversation saying we’re bringing pro wrestling back to the people. And that’s what we’ve done. This doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to all the AEW fans,” he continued.

His wife, Renee Young who was at the show, tweeted “GOOSEBUMPS!” following the win.
