Hikaru Shida moving to the U.S. for new start with All Elite Wrestling

Hikaru Shida, the 30-year-old Japanese wrestler who took part in the six-woman tag match at Double or Nothing on Saturday announced that she is moving permanently to the United States in the Fall to wrestle for All Elite Wrestling.

In a post on Twitter, Shida said that it’s time to leave Las Vegas but not heading straight to Japan yet because she’s preparing for a new start in the United States. “I let you know, I’ll move into US in this fall. Fighting at AEW!” All Elite Wrestling officially announced her signing last month.

Shida has mostly wrestled for the Ice Ribbon promotion in Japan and SHIMMER and then did the independents before signing a deal with the Makai company in 2017.
