Don Callis turns on Kenny Omega during Dynamite main event

The partnership between Don Callis and Kenny Omega ended last night on Dynamite with Callis turning on the former AEW World champion and longtime friend.

Omega was in the main event with Jon Moxley, wrestling in a steel cage match to close the show. With Omega seemingly having the match won after hitting the One Winged Angel on Mox, Callis stormed the ring with a screwdriver and attacked Omega with it, breaking the pin.

The crowd went nuts and so did the AEW commentary team, including Bryan Danielson who was doing guest commentary.

Moxley, who recovered from Omega’s finisher, covered Omega to win the match.

Following the match, Callis was going to attack Omega – who was on his knees at this point – again, but instead told him something and kissed him on his forehead and then pushed him.

The two have been aligned since December 2020 when Callis appeared to help Omega win the AEW World title from none other than Jon Moxley during Winter Is Coming themed episode of Dynamite.
