Cody and Chris Jericho react differently to NXT getting more viewers than Dynamite this week

AEW’s Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho reacted to the news that NXT got more viewership than Dynamite this week in different fashion.

Jericho wrote on Twitter, “Remember guys, it’s a marathon not a sprint,” mocking WWE’s press release congratulating AEW when they beat NXT in week one. When someone else asked him if NXT are no longer the “minor league” as Jericho and Omega often referred to them as, Jericho was quick to fire back saying that Wednesday’s episode “wasn’t a true NXT show” due to the many Superstars from Raw and Smackdown appearing to hype the Survivor Series.

AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes took more the honorable and diplomatic approach, refusing to mention anything about Raw and Smackdown stars showing up. “Take it on the chin, learn from it, get up off the mat and get to work,” Cody said. “Excuses are for assholes.”
