Blood and Guts returns tonight on Dynamite

Blood and Guts returns to AEW Dynamite tonight with not one but two matches, one with the men and one with the women.

The match is AEW’s version of the popular WarGames, which became famous during the JCP/WCW days.

Blood and Guts has two rings enclosed by one big steel cage, which follows the original WarGames match unlike WWE’s version, which has open top cage.

The match will feature entrants from each team coming in at regular intervals and the match then officially starts after all members from each team are in the cage.

Blood and Guts can be won only with submission or surrender and exiting the cage is allowed under the AEW rules.

This is the fifth year that AEW is doing Blood and Guts. The first Blood and Guts featured The Pinnacle vs The Inner Circle, which The Pinnacle won. The 2022 match had The Blackpool Combat Club along with Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz vs The Jericho Appreciation Society where the BCC and company won. 2023 had The Golden Elite vs Blackpool Combat Club, a match won by The Golden Elite. And last year it was Team AEW vs The Elite and Team AEW won that one.

With tonight’s match, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta will each have three appearances in Blood and Guts, the most out of everyone.
