AEW rumored to be moving Grand Slam: Australia to different location

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting that AEW is likely to make an announcement very soon moving the Grand Slam: Australia show from the Suncorp Stadium to a different location.

Ticket sales for the show have been bad and with the stadium holding over 50,000 seats, it was not going to be a good look to hold it there.

This comes after AEW President Tony Khan mentioned during the press call ahead of Full Gear that the company sold “thousands” of tickets for Grand Slam in Brisbane but said that it might not be a pay-per-view offering due to the time difference.

The Ticketek website selling Grand Slam: Australia tickets only had limited seats available after most sections were blocked off lately, preventing fans from buying seats.

It’s unclear if the event will still take place in Brisbane or it’s even moving cities.
