The Hollywood Reporter has a story revealing that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is bringing Paige’s movie, Fighting With My Family, to the stage as a musical.
The Stephen Merchant-directed movie is now being redeveloped by Tilted Musicals, in collaboration with Seven Bucks Productions Merchant himself, Kevin Misher and Birmingham Hippodrome.
The musical, based off lyrics by Olivier Award-winning playwright Jon Brittain, will have new songs composed by singer-songwriter Miranda Cooper and Nick Coler.
The original movie was released in 2019 with Florence Pugh and Vince Vaughn in the leading roles. It is based on the true story of WWE Superstar Paige and her family.
