Dwayne Johnson confirms role in new 3D disaster movie

Dwayne Johnson made his first comments regarding the upcoming San Andreas 3D movie from New Line Cinema, confirming that he would be the leading man in the movie.

“Excited to make the first ever epic 3D earthquake disaster movie ever filmed,” Johnson said. “A real privilege to play the role of a first response helicopter rescue pilot.”

The Rock noted that shooting for this movie begins in April. “Prep begins now. Mother nature is one tough mama,” he added.

Johnson will be traveling back to the U.S. to meet up with the rest of the Fast & Furious 7 gang as he jumps straight into filming that movie following the wrap of Hercules in Hungary.
