Matt Riddle shows up at NJPW’s New Year Dash via video

Matt Riddle appeared via video during the NJPW New Year Dash show earlier today and issued a challenge to NJPW President and new TV champion Hiroshi Tanahashi.

In his response, Tanahashi played it like he did not know who Riddle is and would have to look him up first. Tanahashi won the NJPW TV title from Zack Sabre Jr at the Wrestle Kingdom 18 event yesterday.

Riddle, now signed with MLW, is set to make his debut for the promotion tomorrow at the Kings of Colosseum event against Jacob Fatu.

The former United States champion was released from WWE due to disciplinary issues in September of last year.
