Mercedes Mone has extended her contract with Bushiroad and will continue working for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

Mone said that she was eyeing a more permanent place of stay in the Land of the Rising Sun and described Japan as her “new home.” Wrestling in Japan has long been a dream of Mercedes but a decade in WWE prevented that from happening.

The former WWE Superstar has participated in three matches so far, winning the IWGP Women’s title in her first match against KAIRI in February and then successfully defended the title against AZM and Hazuki in a triple threat match earlier this month before losing it against Mayu Iwatani at Stardom’s All Star Grand Queendom today.

In the post-show press conference, Mone said that she would be at the NJPW Resurgence show in Long Beach, California next month.

It’s not known how long her new deal is.

Meanwhile, Gushcloud International and Gushcloud’s Japanese subsidiary, Gushcloud Japan Co., Ltd., announced that Mercedes signed a deal with them for talent management for upcoming marketing and sponsorships in Japan.
