Rey Mysterio announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023

The first WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023 inductee was announced yesterday on Smackdown and it’s none other than Rey Mysterio.

Mysterio will become one of the handful Hall of Famers who is still active in the ring, joining the likes of Edge, Jeff Jarrett, and the occasional ones such as Beth Phoenix, Lita, and Trish Stratus.

The announcement of Mysterio did not have a happy ending though as he was interrupted by Dominik and Judgment Day and then by Legado del Fantasma. Following a six-man tag match, which Judgment Day won and Rey did not participate in, Dominik attacked his father again and told him that he should have been Eddie Guerrero’s son all along.

The build between the two Mysterios is towards a potential match at WrestleMania and so far Rey has refused to hit his son.
