Chelsea Green makes Smackdown debut…and immediatley breaks her hand

Following an absence of six months from the ring due to creative reasons, Chelsea Green made her Smackdown debut last night on Smackdown…but unfortunately for her, it was a debut to forget as Green broke her hand.

Green was part of a fatal four-way match featuring herself, Liv Morgan, Natalya, and Tamina where the winner advanced to the Smackdown women’s Survivor Series team. According to reports, Green was scheduled to win the match but after she was taken out early, plan B came into effect on the fly and Liv Morgan advanced instead. The injury happened within the first two minutes of the match when Green was dropped from the apron by Morgan, landing badly on her hand at ringside.

The referee was giving instructions to Morgan while she was in a rest hold by Natalya and was seen constantly talking to the back as a new finish was worked out. Tamina, who was off camera for most of the time, was involved in the finish.

“Just another twist in my @wwe story tonight,” Green wrote on social media. “If you wondered where I went after my entrance, here’s your answer… another broken arm. Nothing I haven’t dealt with before! I’ll be back before you know it!”

WWE.COM later confirmed the injury, saying that Green had a broken left wrist and was taken to a local medical facility for further evaluation.

Green was moved to the main roster from NXT in late May after she fired Robert Stone as her manager. Green had been posting on social media the last time she wrestled which was May 27.
