AEW champ Jon Moxley tops the new PWI 500 list

As expected, a wrestler from the All Elite Wrestling topped the annual PWI 500 list, with AEW World champion Jon Moxley getting his first top billing in the popular list.

The 30th annual PWI 500 issue will hit newsstands on September 22. The full list will be released that day.

Moxley is on the front cover of the Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine with the tag line “A New Era in the PWI 500. Jon Moxley is #1” and “AEW has officially arrived” underneath.

The other nine wrestlers in the top 10 are (in order) Adam Cole, Chris Jericho, Drew McIntyre, Tetsuya Naito, Kazuchika Okada, Cody, Seth Rollins, Kofi Kingston, and AJ Styles.

With Moxley’s win, it means all three members of The Shield have topped the list. Rollins won last year while Reigns won the 2016 list.

Moxley last appeared in the top 10 of PWI 500 in 2017 when he was still wrestling as Dean Ambrose in WWE.
