Toni Storm wins the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament

Toni Storm won the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament after she defeated Io Shirai with her Storm Zero finishing move at Evolution.

The 23-year-old New Zealand-born Australian professional wrestler is currently part of the NXT UK roster and has been signed to a WWE deal since May. Storm will also be a part of the NXT UK Women’s title tournament that is set to air on the WWE Network in the next few weeks.

To win this year’s tournament, Storm went through Jinny, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Mia Yim, and Meiko Satomura leading up to the final against Shirai.

Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and WWE Performance Center Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato presented Storm with flowers and the MYC trophy after the match.
