The Rock says Vince McMahon talked to him about teaming up with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania

During one of his promotional appearances for the movie Rampage in the United Kingdom with KISS FM, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that he was indeed approached by Vince McMahon to team up with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34.

The answer popped up when The Rock was asked if he would go back to professional wrestling and WWE specifically. “Oh yeah, absolutely, sure,” The Rock replied. He said that two months ago, he and Vince McMahon were discussing what he would do if he was able to come back at WrestleMania.

He said the idea pitched was the mixed tag team match of him and Rousey taking on Stephanie and Triple H. Rock said that he’s very proud of Ronda and what she’s doing.

“We couldn’t make it work this time because I was in Shanghai, but who knows down the line?” Johnson said.
