Ziggler earns NXT title shot, Roode returns

Dolph Ziggler earned an NXT title shot last night after defeating Tommaso Ciampa in a hard-fought match in the main event of NXT on USA Network.

But Ziggler’s win was tainted by the interference of a cameraman who after hitting Ciampa with the camera, removed his cap and face mask to reveal himself as former NXT champion himself Robert Roode.

Ziggler and Roode embraced each other in the ring and then proceeded to beat on Ciampa. But the odds were evened after Bron Breakker came down to help Ciampa fight off the Dirty Dawgs.

All four will now face each other in a tag team match which will headline next week’s NXT.

While WWE has not said when Ziggler will get his title shot, the most probable location is Dallas at the Stand & Deliver show set for April 2. The company has not announced a start time yet for the show which falls on the same day as night one of WrestleMania.
