The WWE UK Championship tournament first round started yesterday at the Download Festival. Four matches took place in total and will continue today.

The qualifying matches that took place were Zack Gibson vs Amir Jordan, Flash Morgan Webster vs James Drake, Travis Banks vs El Ligero, and Ashton Smith vs Joseph Conners. Gibson, Morgan Webser, Drake, and Banks moved on to the next round. A previous match featuring Jack Gallagher vs Drew Gulak was already filmed and Gallagher won that match.

The WWE UK Championship tournament will take place on June 18 and 19 from the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. The tournament, unlike last time, will not air live on the WWE Network but will instead air on June 25 and 26. The winner of the tournament will face Pete Dunne on night two of the tournament for the UK title.
