The WWE United Kingdom championship will be defended at the upcoming NXT Takeover: Chicago which will be held on May 20.

The announcement came yesterday during the first set of the WWE UK Championship Live television tapings in Norwich, England. The contenders will be decided tonight in the second set of tapings, as current champion Tyler Bate will be defending the title against Mark Andrews while Pete Dunne and Trent Seven will face off in a number one contender’s match. The winners of both matches will then move to the Chicago show.

This is the first time that the title will be defended on a Takeover show, although WWE UK championship matches have been held on NXT television before.
