WWE takes over Petco Park as setup for Survivor Series starts

WWE has already taken over Petco Park as they set up for this weekend’s Survivor Series.

The structure supporting the large canopy, which has a large WWE logo on both sides, has already been erected. The structure will also support the speakers and video screens which will hang above the two rings. It also holds the steel cage which is lowered and raised for the two WarGames matches.

While structures like these are not popular with fans since those sitting in the corners will have their view affected by the four pillars in the way, it was a necessary evil since Petco Park is an open stadium with no roof.

WWE has sold nearly 35,000 tickets for this event and it will be the highest-grossing and most-attended Survivor Series in history, largely because this is the first time that Survivor Series gets the stadium treatment. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.com starting from $119.79.
