The Intercontinental title will be defended this Saturday at Backlash as champion Dominik Mysterio will take on Penta.

This is the second one-on-one match between the two as they already went head-to-head on the Raw After Mania in another title match, a match which Mysterio won after interference from Judgment Day.

This is the fifth match announced for Backlash, four of which are for a title.

Mysterio has been champion since WrestleMania 41, winning the title in a fatal four-way match which also included then-champion Bron Breakker, Penta, and Finn Balor.
