WWE has confirmed that Dean Ambrose is leaving the company once his current deal expires in late April.

Taking the unusual steps of addressing the situation after PWTorch broke the story yesterday, WWE.COM issued a statement reading, “Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.”

Ambrose was reportedly very unhappy with how his character was progressing and refused a new contract which had a decent pay rise in the seven figures.
