WrestleMania 42 announced for New Orleans on April 11 and 12, 2026

The Rock, appearing live on Smackdown last night in New Orleans, announced that WrestleMania 42 will be coming from the Caesars Superdome in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana on April 11 and 12, 2026.

The news was heavily expected and was rumored for the past several weeks within the wrestling industry.

The Rock’s announcement was welcomed by cheers from fans inside the Smoothie King Center and loud chants of “Holy shit.”

The Superdome has already hosted WrestleMania twice – once in 2014 for WrestleMania XXX and four years later in 2018 for WrestleMania 34. With WrestleMania 42, the Superdome becomes only the second location ever along with Madison Square Garden to host WrestleMania on three different occasions.

The Caesars Superdome hosted this year’s Super Bowl.
