Wren Sinclair becomes number one contender for NXT Women’s title

Wren Sinclair became the number one contender for the NXT Women’s title last night after she won a 20-woman battle royal and will now face champion Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc later this month.

Sinclair was storyline-suspended by NXT General Manager Robert Stone and wrestled in the match in disguise as AAA’s Lady Shani, complete with her ring gear and mask.

While the final four of the match involved Lizzy Rain, Kiana James, Kali Armstrong, and La Catalina, Sinclair – as Shani – reentered the match as she was never eliminated earlier, and dumped Armstrong who was on the turnbuckle celebrating after she thought she won after eliminating Lizzy Rain last.

After the win, Sinclair unmasked herself to a big pop from the NXT PC crowd.

The battle royal saw participation from TNA Knockouts as well, with Knockouts champion Xia Brookside, Heather and M by Elegance, and Indi Hartwell all involved.
