Wes Lee returns to NXT after five months out

Wes Lee made his return to NXT last night and confronted NXT North American champion Oba Femi after he successfully defended his title against Ivar.

Lee entered through the crowd to a big pop and then stood face-to-face with Femi in the middle of the ring as he eyed the title he was supposed to wrestle for before he got injured.

Lee had to pull out of his title match against then champion Dominik Mysterio at Deadline just days before the show. He cut a promo in the ring saying he needs back surgery but would come back better than ever. Lee indicated at the time that he could be out for up to a year.

The former NXT Tag Team champion was replaced by Dragon Lee in the match and Lee ended up winning the title.
