The Sports Business Journal is reporting that WWE has confirmed to them that Wade Barrett will be joining Joe Tessitore as the new Raw commentary team starting September 2.

Tessitore, who signed with WWE in July, appeared for the first time on WWE television during the SummerSlam pre-show where he was introduced by Michael Cole.

As reported yesterday, Michael Cole and Corey Graves will be doing commentary for Smackdown once it moves to USA Network on Friday, September 13.

Cole is expected to return to Raw in January along with Pat McAfee, with the two Raw commentators moving the opposite direction.

Tessitore is a life-long wrestling fan and is a big part of the ESPN football announce team.
