U.S. title rematch to headline Smackdown tonight

Smackdown tonight will be headlined by a rematch for the United States title as Chris Jericho will defend his title against former champion Kevin Owens.

Jericho won the title at Payback this past Sunday and moved to the Smackdown roster from Raw as well. However, Jericho’s win was a bit of a surprise to many as he is leaving the WWE for a bit to start touring with his Fozzy band.

Owens is expected to regain the title and Jericho will be written off television, possibly tonight. Y2J will not be traveling to Europe with the rest of the crew for the European tour.
