Two top WWE stars rumored to be refusing to work Crown Jewel

Rumors are flying around that two of the top WWE Superstars are refusing to travel to Saudi Arabia and work the Crown Jewel pay-per-view next week in Riyadh.

John Cena and Daniel Bryan are both said to be wanting out of the trip although these rumors remain unconfirmed. If they do not end up traveling, it would put a big dent in the Crown Jewel card as Bryan is wrestling AJ Styles for the WWE title and Cena is part of the World Cup tournament.

WWE has for the past two weeks refrained from mentioning Saudi Arabia when pushing the Crown Jewel pay-per-view and despite pressure to back out of the multi-million Saudi deal following the murder of the Washington Post columnist, the company has moved ahead with the show.

Backing out of the deal would leave a big hole in WWE’s finances although the negative publicity from the fallout of going on with the show might cost them a lot too.

The company has so far not addressed these rumors and both Superstars are still advertised for the show as of today.

Interesting enough, the on-sale date for tickets was last Friday but it was postponed for unknown reasons. Tickets are still not on sale with just over a week to go.
