TLC pay-per-view removed from the WWE 2021 calendar

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the planned December WWE pay-per-view TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs will not be taking place anymore and it’s off the WWE PPV calendar for 2021.

TLC was originally set to air on December 12 from the Allstate Arena in Chicago and then changed to December 19 but that was scrapped again. The Allstate Arena will instead get a live Smackdown on FOX on Friday, December 17.

WWE will have two pay-per-views in January, starting on New Year’s Day with Day 1 live from Atlanta and then the Royal Rumble on January 29 from St. Louis.

This is the first time since 2009 that WWE will not be holding a TLC pay-per-view. In 13 years, the show was always held in December apart from one year – in 2017 – when it was held in October.
