TLC 2019 makes history with no singles titles defended on the show

The TLC pay-per-view last night from Minneapolis became the first pay-per-view event in recent history where no singles title was defended.

The WWE, Universal, Intercontinental, United States, Raw Women’s, Smackdown Women’s, and 24/7 titles were not featured at all on the pay-per-view. The only titles defended during the broadcast were just tag team titles, with the Raw, Smackdown, and Women’s titles all on the line.

The Universal champion Bray Wyatt was on the show but his match against The Miz was a non-title one while Becky Lynch, the Raw Women’s champion, was involved in the main event for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.

All champions kept their respective titles.
