TKO President Mark Shapiro says WWE is working with Disney for some special events in 2027

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, TKO President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro said that WWE is working with Disney to produce a few special events throughout 2027.

WWE already has a relationship with Disney through ESPN, which is owned by the media conglomerate.

Shapiro said that their main audience is families and advertisers take note of that.

“Frankly, I’m excited about 2027 as we’re working with the Walt Disney Company on some special events around Disney and WWE and bringing those two audiences together since, of course, what do they have in common? Family,” Shapiro said.

On the topic of premium live events on ESPN, Shapiro said that WWE is performing well on the platform but they’re hoping to do even better now that YouTube TV finally integrated the ESPN app fully into their system.
