Three title changes take place on NXT on The CW last night

NXT had a record three title changes in four matches last night on The CW, a rough night for champions on a random Tuesday!

The first title change came in the first match of the night, with Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor of the Vanity Project defeating Darkstate to become the new NXT Tag Team champions. The ending had the interference of Tony D’Angelo, who attacked Saquon Shugars and helped Baylor in the ring for the cover. This ended Darkstate’s 122-day run with the titles.

The second title change was in a triple threat match for the WWE Speed title, with champion Jasper Troy vs Eli Knight vs Elio LeFleur. It was newcomer LeFleur who ended up pinning Troy to become the new champion.

And in the main event of the show, Myles Borne became the new NXT North American champion after he defeated Ethan Page. Borne beat Page with his Borne Again finisher, ending Page’s impressive 273-day reign as champ.

Only Jacy Jayne survived with her NXT Women’s title intact, beating Sol Ruca, who was attacked by Zaria before the bell rang, giving Jayne a quick and easy win.
