Three NXT stars make Smackdown debut

Three NXT stars made their Smackdown debut last night on the final show before the Royal Rumble.

The new NXT General Manager Ava showed up backstage to talk with Smackdown GM Nick Aldis and get some tips along the way. Ava was featured in multiple backstage segments as Superstars picked their number for the Royal Rumble.

Trick Williams, who will be getting an NXT title shot next week, came out to save Carmelo Hayes after Austin Theory and Grayson Waller ganged up on him following their match. Williams and Hayes are tag team partners in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and are in the semi final.

And Elektra Lopez has rejoined Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma and brawled with Zelina Vega during the Escobar vs Carlito match. Lopez was part of Escobar’s faction in NXT but was not called up to the main roster when Escobar, Del Toro, and Wilde moved to Smackdown.
