The New Day’s Big E suffers knee injury

One third of The New Day, Big E, will not be wrestling for several weeks after he announced on Twitter that he has a meniscus injury. WWE later confirmed it’s a torn meniscus.

“Making mincemeat of my meniscus. Crossbody cooked the cartilage,” he wrote, referring to a spot on Tuesday’s Smackdown while wrestling in the main event of the show. He also said it will be “bye for a bit,” explaining why he probably won’t be on WWE television over the course of the next few weeks, or at least not wrestling.

Big E could still be used on Smackdown as long as he avoids physical altercations that would make the injury worse.
