The Miz cashes in MITB briefcase and wins WWE title

For the second time in his career, The Miz became the WWE champion after successfully cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase again, this time against Drew McIntyre at the Elimination Chamber.

McIntyre had just won his Elimination Chamber match, successfully defending the gold against Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, and AJ Styles. But after the match was over, the now former United States champion Bobby Lashley viciously attacked McIntyre. After Lashley was done with McIntyre, The Miz ran in with the briefcase and cashed in.

McIntyre struggled to get on his feet and Miz hit a DDT for a close two-count. But Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on McIntyre immediately afterward and pinned the champion.

The Miz won the first WWE title in November 2010 in Orlando after he cashed in his MITB briefcase on Monday Night Raw, pinning Randy Orton. He held the title until May 1, 2011 where he lost it to John Cena in Tampa.
