Tajiri announces he is leaving WWE

WWE cruiserweight Tajiri announced on his Twitter that he is leaving WWE and returning to Japan, just months after signing a new deal with the company.

Tajiri said that even though his knee injury has healed and WWE doctors gave him the okay to return, being 46 years of age is “risky” to step back in a WWE ring. Tajiri signed a full-time deal with WWE in January of this year but then suffered a knee injury at an NXT taping, leaving him out for several weeks. He eventually returned in February during an episode of 205 Live but has not been used since.

The Japanese Buzzsaw said that that even though he returned to the company for just four months, he has no regrets. He thanked Triple H for letting him return and being part of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament last year.
