SummerSlam packing its bags and moving to the East Coast in 2015

For six straight years, WWE has held SummerSlam at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California. But that’s all going to change next year as WWE announced during the broadcast yesterday that SummerSlam 2015 is coming to New York and New Jersey.

The reason WWE opted to have SummerSlam in Los Angeles for so many years was because of the Hollywood factor, having a lot of celebrities interact with WWE Superstars during the SummerSlam weekend and related events. However this year WWE scaled back the events and did not hold Axxess and the usual glitz and glamor events that surround the event.

No actual arena or city was mentioned yet where next year’s SummerSlam will take place but WWE might do the same thing they did for WrestleMania 29, have some weekend events in New York and then hold the actual pay-per-view in New Jersey.
