SummerSlam 2020 officially pulled from Boston, new location forthcoming

WWE has officially confirmed that SummerSlam will not be taking place in Boston anymore although it did not say that it will take place from the Performance Center either.

Refunds for those who already had purchased a ticket for SummerSlam are now available at the original point of purchase. “We are grateful to the city of Boston for their longstanding partnership and look forward to holding WWE events at TD Garden in the future,” a statement from WWE said.

The statement said that “information regarding a new location for the event is forthcoming” so the show might be held somewhere else with maybe a hint of fans. There were rumors that Vince McMahon was shooting for SummerSlam to have fans back in an arena although with coronavirus cases containing to spike everyday, the plan might change.
