Styles and Strowman removed from Mixed Match Challenge

AJ Styles and Braun Strowman have been taken out of the Mixed Match Challenge tournament permanently.

Strowman’s upcoming elbow surgery meant that he would have needed a replacement to continue the tournament. His tag team partner, Ember Moon, will find out next week who will be joining her before their match against Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox.

Former WWE champion AJ Styles was also taken out for reasons that were not explained. Styles last week was replaced by Jeff Hardy following the title loss in the main event of Smackdown. Hardy will be teaming up with Charlotte Flair for the remainder of the show.

This year’s Mixed Match Challenge was full of replacements due to several injuries.
