Stephanie McMahon fires Mick Foley from Raw GM job

Fans in Brooklyn started chanting “No! No! No!” before Foley even announced that he is leaving his position as Raw General Manager last night on Raw.

“Effective immediately, I am taking a leave of absence,” Foley said in the middle of the ring reading off index cards. And then, the hardcore legend tore off the index cards and went into a bit of a Cactus Jack mode, reminding everyone that he is “Mick freakin’ Foley” to a big pop from the crowd.

With his mic getting cut off, Stephanie McMahon marched down to the ring and told Foley that she has two words for him, and doing her best imitation of her father, she fired Foley from his job.

“Thank you @WWEUniverse for the privilege of being part of your Monday nights. Thanks for all the kind words. I leave #RAW knowing that I really tried to make a difference,” Foley wrote on Twitter after the show was over.

The rumors are that Kurt Angle will be taking over the Raw General Manager role after WrestleMania as Foley goes away to undergo his much-needed hip replacement surgery.
