Smackdown Women’s title match taken off MITB, moved to Smackdown

With Bayley suffering an injury and out for the next nine months, Carmella will be taking her place in the Smackdown Women’s title match.

But the match against Bianca Belair will not be happening at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, but rather on Smackdown next Friday live from Houston. The original match was set to be an I Quit match although this one is a regular one-on-one match.

Sonya Deville announced Carmella as Bayley’s replacement but Liv Morgan interrupted and was not too pleased. Morgan was told that with Carmella getting the title shot, she would be taking Carmella’s place in the MITB ladder match instead.
